Fes - Marrakech by train with more locals

Today's train is taking you to the red city of Morocco and the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains.  We arranged your means of transportation to be by train because we know that the previous experience might not be enough to experience the challenging environment to travel with locals and try to speak their own language. This time from Fes to Marrakech, you have a longer ride to allow you to try and get into simple conversations and learn more words before you set foot in your accommodation. You can imagine how surprised the front desk would be if you speak Arabic to them upon your arrival :)

It's highly recommended that you are at the train station 20mins before the time you have on your tickets. No worries, the tickets will be delivered to your accommodation the day before by one of our local agents.

Marrakech is the exotic imperial city of the south. It is the fourth largest city in Morocco and lies near the foothills of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Djemaa-el-Fna square bustles with acrobats, story-tellers, water sellers, dancers, and musicians. In the evening the square transforms into a huge open-air restaurant with smoke rising from the many food stalls.

** Approximate driving is over 6 hours (stops are NOT included).

Your local guide is coming to meet you in the morning at the accommodation to enter the old medina where you continue on foot to discover historical palaces, museums, and Koranic schools. Please enjoy the afternoon exploring the new city at your own leisure; most of our travelers find it easy to navigate on their own and visit the Jardin Majorelle taking a local taxi; not like the old Medina which is like a maze :)
